Expecting success.
We were approached by Sprint to concept a roll-out for a new product their FonPromotions division was launching — a business card which doubled as a pre-paid phone card.
Branded for subscribing businesses, the card was designed to add value to both the sprint business class channel and their subscribers contacts.
How hard can it be to give away free money?
Sometimes, harder than you'd think. As far as making inroads to executives via a direct mail promotion goes. Anything is a tough sell.
I determined that we could disarm any skepticism using the humor of a the classic "dollar-bill-on-a-string" prank. Using a phony $1,000,000 bill, we brashly claimed "An easier way to get into your customers' wallets!"
A response center is overwhelmed.
The response to this promotion was so great that Sprint needed to quickly staff a second response center to process the new orders.
Additionally, this led to a second promotion which was essentially the same thing in digital form — and a second win for Sprint, their clients and clients' customers.
