I'll spare you a pun about growing.

But I will tell you that the New Hanover Arboretum offers many enriching experiences, but had many services that were going underutilized. And they were looking for ways to spread the news to generate awareness and increase participation.

Because in order to continue to offer and expand their services and get the necessary funding for them, we'd need to cultivate greater attendance.

Plants, though slow moving, are fun!

Especially at the New Hanover County Arboretum. With many kid-centric features and programs, a plan of action took shape for using playful, energetic and smart messaging to appeal to a broad audience.

Beginning with Branding and the creation of a new logo which expressively integrates our distinctive county shape in a flower form and ending with marquee signage and the coloring book-esque wrapped Mobility Mobile - The new New Hanover Arboretum sprang to life.

Now it's always sunny there.

And there's probably not another government-run "service" you'd rather spend all day at! The revitalization of the Arboretum has been a boon to our area, the experts who work and serve there and the folks who learn from and enjoy this resource.

Even driving by the entrance and seeing the colorful Ability Mobile out front with "fertilizer for your mind" brings a smile to your face.
