Launching a revolution.
Derm Diagnostics was a break-out concept for providing walk-in skin cancer screenings with a quick results turn-around to anyone in a casual, professional environment. Their target demographic would be tapped by placing their locations in upscale shopping and retail environments.
The need for this service is great. Typical wait times to see dermatologists can stretch into the months. And catching skin cancer early is critical. Branding and messaging had to be developed which communicated this new concept quickly and clearly while appearing attractive, convenient and professional.
Getting it at a glance.
Development of the core branding anchors, the logo and tagline, began. I developed a logo which visually illustrates the service at a glance. While the tag line assists and describes the convenience component.
The region where Derm Diagnostics operates is full of sun worshipers. Many understand the importance of periodic screenings, but not necessarily how to identify the warning signs of skin cancer. Our greatest challenge was in framing the message with the right ratios of urgency, seriousness and approachability.
The red dot.
In developing the outdoor and print advertising and retail signage, We chose to pair imagery of everyday people of all types with a signature red dot. This effectively and tastefully allowed people to relate to the message without feeling intimidated.
The client was very impressed with the results and the leads they were able to generate through public awareness events and our initial launch campaign.
