What exactly is branding anyway?

When someone encounters any aspect of a business or organization, they are impacted by its branding. From the billboard to the smiling face behind the counter or phone, projecting brand personality well is essential to success. We react to brands (advertising, products, brochures, websites, etc.) just like we react to people. If a brand is a sloppy dresser, scatter-brained, saying one thing and doing another, or senseless - than we probably won't want to hang out with it.

Conversely, if a brand has "got it together", than it is more likely to attract and retain its target customers.
